SPUR's Guide to Downtown POPOS
In January 2014, twenty-five CLIR members explored under leadership of Dick Hewetson a dozen or more small Privately-Owned Public Open Spaces (POPOS) both outside (think pocket parks) and inside commercial buildings. Below is the guide we used, including a walking map, with descriptions. Read it on line (click the icons at the bottom right to maximize or minimize print, or view a full screen version. Click here to download the POPOs guide so you can print it out. San Francisco's City Planning Department also hosts a POPOS page on its website, with a map. Note some POPO sport public restrooms! Good to know. Follow this link to the Planning Dept.'s POPOS page.
